Company history

The founder, Iwata Jugo, was once a forced laborer in Siberia, where he noticed the exceptional quality of Siberian timber. After returning to Japan, he began his business by importing logs from Russia. In 1974, he opened the Moscow Office, and in 1987, he established the first joint venture between Japan and the Soviet Union. For more than half a century, our company has consistently focused on trade with the Soviet Union, and after its dissolution, with Russia.
